... 2pm when the Texas man came on for the mid-day announcements. It was then he told us that they were scheduled to arrive in Mauritius at 10pm, and they were planning on refuelling and leaving at 1am. However, the Institute for Shipboard Education managed to pull some strings and have the ship spend the night and then clear customs at 6am. They would let us off the ship the following day from 8am-12pm. 4 hours in Mauritius!! How fun! The pool deck erupted in applause.

Soon our hands were full with souveniers and gifts and the clock was ticking and our take off filight time 11.50pm grew closer. I have learnt so much from my 7 day trip to Mauritius and I only wish we had longer. We then drove out of town back to Sofitel L' Imperial hotel for the last time and checked out. The beach at Blue Bay was also excellent - bigger & more open than Pereybere. The bus from Mahebourg took us there. Last time I went (alone - after the previous night's kasheshe with Alice) it was Diwali, & the beach was crowded. We bought berries cooked in sugar, the same as our landlady had given us. We used the very good restaurant twice.

it was a great hotel ! nice nature and a honeymoon place . whe had a great relaxing 14 days whit a lot of diving and beachwalks .
