We've had another long day of traveling. Eight hours on the road. We're still encountering some very rough, frost damaged roads. Today was all on the freeway, which is ******* the nerves and on the Mini. We left Niagara Falls and crossed into Canada on the freeway. It was pretty much non-stop all the way to Port Huron, MI. ... awning, which we feared would collapse if we didn’t do something. As we began to retract it the snow actually moved backwards and collected deeper in awning and thus caused it to sag even more. So I got on the picnic table and began wiping the snow off with a broom, as I was sliding across the table, while Lou retracted it very slowly. We got it in without any issues but learned an important lesson- DO NOT leave your awning out if there is a chance of snow.

It still seems hard to believe that we're leaving for Dublin tomorrow! I'm finally finished packing (and I think Sherry is, too!), Ralphie is at grandma and grandpa's, and Leo is sleeping, dreaming of fun times at the boarding kennel.
