It rained all night and we woke to a bright sunny day……….for
about an hour, during which time we managed to have our breakfast in the sun.
The clouds came back but at least without rain and so we jumped on our bikes

... not get lost! Once back in Berne we raced to the restaurant we had dinner at the first night and made sure we could get a seat. Down stairs was packed so we sat up stairs which wasn't as good but at least we had a table! Tonight we were to buy the fondue, the cheese favourite of the town! And basically cheese was all we were eating, along with a few potatoes! We were excited and weirded out at the same time. Dinner was going to be a hot bowl of cheese ...
... very attractive, if only you didn't have to have your own food and no power it would be the best. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it's a lot of work in the very least. It will be refreshing to move from the burning sun of Italy and move into the much more comfortable or even cold Switzerland. - So we explored Bern and saw the botanical gardens, some crazy streets, and walked down some fresh markets. ... so I had to move to a new hotel. The new hotel was absolutely beautiful and about 50 Euro's cheaper. The rooms were all modern, working wifi, and the breakfast was out of this world. I have now crossed off the Novotel in Freiburg from my list of hotels and The Best Western Premier Hotel Victoria is permanently on!
