You will be looked after well

The rooms were well laid out and had all you'd need. The service was fantastic... we arrived late and yet they were still willing to give us a meal in the outside courtyard (beautiful spot) and it was tasty and cheap. The breakfast in the morning - under the hotel was more basic but comes with the cost so OK. Good price. Close walking distance to the ruins and staff will give good directions of where else to visit if you want.

In this gritty and touristy city it was nice to come back to a clean and warm hotel. Great service and wonderful people!

      Wonderful!!! Stay at this Hotel!

      from

Everything was great! Hotel Diana was the 3rd stop on a three week tour that included Rome, Naples, Amalfi, Santorini ( Greece) and Athens. We did come in on the Circumvesuviana train and got dropped off at the train station on the opposite side of town from the Diana, but once we found it it was an oasis! It was down a little alleyway which made us a bit concerned for a second, but when we went in the girls at the desk were SO friendly and helpful. Our room wasn't quite ready so they stored our luggage in the lobby and told us not to worry and they'd watch it ( I wasn't worried) and set us up with audio tours and gave us a map and an itinerary in case we wanted to use Pompeii as a base for other excursions and told us where to eat and they just could not have been nicer. The room was beautiful, clean and modern and the best we stayed in. I think it was 90E for a double. It was close to the square and close to the ruins and I cannot say enough good things about this place. Seriously, stay here.

      Very friendly family-run hotel

      from

We spent 4 nights in this very pleasant hotel because we thought P,ompeii was a good base for sightseeing in both directions. The small, very provincial town has no less than 3 rail stations which does make transport easy but be careful about which branch of the Circumvesuviana line you are on.

The owner of the hotel was kind enough to drive us to the furthest station without charge early one morning. We have no real complaints except that after 4 days breakfast was inevitably beginning to get rather samey (and I do wish they put some fresh fruit out: other hotels failed to do this as well). If anyone wants a reasonable restaurant in town, try the Zi Katerina in the other main street at right angles.

      Superb

      from

Just returned from a three night stay. Perfect. All of the staff are so friendly and smiling when they talk to you and are courtious and helpful, unlike the majority of other Italian hotels and Italians generally.

I asked for directions several times and was given exact driving instructions and as much time as I wanted to go over them.

Don't be put off by the entance to the street, a lot of money has been spent on the re-furb and it is fresh and clean.

I would stay again and would not look anywhere else.

      Enjoy

      Good hotel

Good location and competitively priced, clean and modern, quiet at night, with helpful, bilingual staff. Take their recommendation and have a meal at the nearby Restaurant La Situla.

Change of plans. We decided to go to Sorrento for the day and do Naples tomorrow. After a half hour train ride we landed in Sorrento, which is a town built into the mountainside overlooking the bay of Naples. It is extremely tourist-driven and people flock there in summer but thankfully the tourist season is over now so not so busy. Overall it was a nice place but probably overrated as they say it is one of the most beautiful places to go in Italy. We took ...
