Good Hotel opposite the Mater Hospital, the road outside is a bit busy but not too bad. we got the room for $149 on Wotif, so good value.

6pm It's my last day in Gold Coast, the rest of the group will be returning today while I am extending my trip to Cairns for a live onboard diving trip. Looking forward to it. And that's to be at ...

... weather, Incredible expanses of golden sand, obviously, and massive high rise hotels. Not our thing at all. We hardly stopped on the way through and drove straight on to Burleigh Heads 20km away - quieter, less developed and with great surf, fingers crossed (best barrels in the world apparently).

It was a great campsite right on the beach (except as usual no wifi - they all advertise it but don’t have it in reality which is a nightmare for ...

I flew out of Brisbane at 6:30am and have arrived here in Honolulu at 10:30am. The airlines I flew with were Virgin Australia and Hawaiian Airlines they ...
