    Good Hotel opposite the Mater Hospital, the road outside is a bit busy but not too bad. we got the room for $149 on Wotif, so good value.

    ... strenuous. Went and had and iced coffee (Rob had tea) then got the tram down to Broadbeach which is a more exclusive area but it was just as windy, if not worse,so not so comfortable. Started to walk back popped into shopping centre for a card, nothing else. Walked a bit further but it got too much for Rob so we got the tram back to surfers paradise and had dinner before we started back as journey took about an hour and a half, go home at 10.

    ... and I mean, everywhere,
    there were wee pademelons (round macropods like smaller, chubbier
    wallabies). They were precious as they bounced like little spring
    toys away from our footsteps and car. My honourary motto of the

    ... it along the sand next to the waves whilst aeroplanes were coming into land alongside us, which was pretty awesome. One of the pilots jumped on board at one stage to try and sell us a flight over the island, but nobody was keen, which was a bit awkward.     ... for a time before he goes home on the 17 th of July. Oh, the life of a poor uni student. Arriving anywhere at night can be daunting. A taxi ride from the airport is always an adventure in itself. I strongly suspect they say good here is another 'fulung' or foreigners and the price triples. At the taxi counter they show out a written chart to show you the official price so you don't argue a price ! Very clever for the tired unsuspecting tourist and inflates their earnings by 500% ...
