      Good Hotel opposite the Mater Hospital, the road outside is a bit busy but not too bad. we got the room for $149 on Wotif, so good value.

      ... there from Brisbane. This Zoo was the home of the late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin. I may have had to google who is the prime minister of Australia, but I sure do know who Steve Irwin is! In my opinion this zoo has somewhat of a steep entry fee, but it was one of the better zoos I have gone to in my life. The animal highlights for me were the koalas, the cassowaries, and the wombats.
