Arrived in Budapest after a long flight. The Viking Skadi is a beautiful longboat. Budapest is a magnificent city and well deserves the title of "Paris of Eastern Europe". The visit to the Duheny St. synagogue and Holocaust museum was very moving. The night sail leaving Budapest heading for Slovokia was ...

Overall, it was a really interesting day and a great opportunity to see a bit of Hungary outside the capital.

This beautiful building took our breath away especially when we had an impromptu operatic performance on the grand staircase as we sipped champagne. Unfortunately the battery died on the camera so I ...

The day had arrived for Domi, a work friend from London, and Laci's wedding. The wedding was being held in Tata, a village about an hour’s drive (in Big Bluey) from Budapest. The village was beautiful and we made our way to the hotel where much of the festivities were going to be held.

After some decent primping time we were all dolled up. The first part of the wedding was a church service. We weren’t quite sure if we were supposed ...
