We arrived in Venice at 2:30pm Private boat transfer to our hotel. What a view!!!! Just breathtaking. Spent the afternoon walking over little bridges and looking in shop windows. Pasta and pizza for dinner, followed by a walk in the rain. Chocolate gelato and crepe for dessert. Back in our room, our feet need a ...

... Marks Square getting some more photos along the way and caught the ferry back to Lido around dusk. We went to dinner at a little restaurant in Lido and I had lasagne which was one of the best I'd had in Italy so far, Lachie had a creamy pasta and we shared a pitcher of wine. The next morning we visited Lido beach, which was on the opposite side of the island to where we were staying. We found ourselves in a private beach with rows upon rows of beach huts on the sand, and all ...

... next door. Pizza in Italy? Who would have thought? After this we had some gelato and just walked around a little bit. It was pretty cool to see water everywhere you went. Venice is definitely the only kind of its city. This pretty much concluded our day. We wanted to shower and get all the sweat off of us so we did just that and went to bed. The next day was our only real day in Venice so we had to do everything in one day. We figured we'd get food and walk our way to ...
