    ... expensive trap again. After the Traghetto, I stopped off in the Campo San Cassiano for a nice lunch of pasta and vino bianco.     Today we woke up and went to the Da Vinci exhibition which we were trying to find the other day. There were replica inventions of his real ones each one had an explanation of what it was.     Today was another beautiful, hot day in Venice! We slept in and went to the Doge's Palace. It was so interesting and, of course, gorgeous! Afterwards we perused some stores and walked around the local streets before taking a little siesta out of the heat. Later on we took a gondola ride which was so awesome.     ... on the dry side and the icing was fairly solid. We think they had been on display for a few days. Eventually we found a place to have some lunch.     ... who chatted us up every time her daughter went upstairs to supply and storage. She couldn't speak any English, but she told us about every kind of stitch and style under the sun.
