Long day of travelling today. Set off around 10. Travelled thru Belgium & the Netherlands before arriving in Germany. Only 3 stops required ('mum I need a wee, dad I need a poo, We're HUNGRY!!'). Went out for tea at the campsite across the roads' restaurant and got soaked in a thunder storm. Looking forward to a busy day at Playmobile land tomorrow. Fingers crossed for better weather ☀ ...

    Howdy folks,

We organised to catch up with Silvana on Saturday in Frankfurt, so we drove up to meet her at her house in Rodgau, which is about 20kms outside the city. ... class. I knew that already, of course, but I figured it was worth a shot. Oh well. I set about finding some coffee and breakfast while looking around for a place to wait out the layover.

I've been through Frankfurt Airport several dozen times, since it's the main Star Alliance gateway in Europe, and this has to be said: This airport is seriously frustrating. There are endless duty free and luxury goods shops, but almost no ...

    Frankfurt (yet) again

... Coming home I went via Heathrow as the flight was more than an hour earlier than the City Airport flight. It only gets me home half an hour earlier but it's still worth it.

I've now lost my silver card so I can't use the lounge, but the bar by gate 4 is perfectly reasonable for a 30 minute stop. The Heathrow flights do use a jetty and we were quickly on board and away a bit early. The A320 was not full and I had two ...
