      ... youth wanting to jump the fence for a free shower, but I felt their plan was going to impact on us in some way. Something had to be done so Gael was dragged kicking and screaming into the action. Gaels role was to discreetly knock up the owners and inform them that some plan was being hatched in the car

      ... for beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, a couple of paragliders, and the fresh new snow on all the peaks.

      This will be our last entry for this trip! If you've been reading along - thanks! We have had a wonderful trip and enjoyed the company of good friends Cindy and Ted McCord on these last 2 weeks of it!

      ... gondola of the day and 20 minutes later we reached the top, 3842m high. We were a little naive about the weather up at the top but we were quick to realise it wasn't a joke.       John, my brother in law and I had a magnificent day up at L'Aguille de Midi (3,841m) high above Chamonix followed by a three hour hike from the cable car's mid station to a glacier where we caught a little mountain cog railway back down to Chamonix.
