... gave speeches, including "the modern day Marco Polo" (ask a Chinese person to say Marco Polo it's really funny) who spoke fluent Mandarin and sounded like a Chinese peson. "I've been in HZ for a few weeks,"he said, "and I think it is just beautiful and the most beautiful place in China" - everyone clapped.

What is it with HZ being beautiful!? Are these people blind?! What do they see when they walk down Tianmushan Road?! "Oh but that's just a road" (a response when ...

... were, of course, sleeping and not posing nicely for anyone! The zoo is pleasant enough and I can't remember the last zoo I actually went to, but I think as far as zoos go there might possibly be better ones out there. There weren't many non-Chinese people about. We had a good chat and wandered around and had a good day out. Julian and I dropped by Awfully Chocolate in Cloud 9 shopping centre (practically my local) and that's where I said goodbye ...

... to gambing. Of course, I have no idea what anyone's saying, and they don't understand what I'm going to say, so I tend to just say 'thank you, wishing you good health'. On occasion a man may say "cheers!" to me, in which case I will say the same back!

The food at these kinds of meals is rather excessive. The food keeps coming out even after people have stopped eating. I have heard all about "face" in Chinese culture, and how so much food ...

Crumbs... I just realised I forgot to write about Xitang, we went there.... 2 weeks ago?... Well, instead of just lumping the pics from there onto another entry, here's a brief piece on it with some pics.

An old walled village, which has been restored and has lot of tourist shops there, and is all set over a river with lots of small bridges going over. It's a maze... so easy to enter 1 way and never find your way out. We had a great time there :)
