... in a certain place until they could kill them or let them die either because of starvation, diseases or injuries. In this second camp they were no bathrooms so typhus was quickly spread there.

After entering some of the blocks we went to the crematoriums where most of the mass murders were held. This part of the camp was completely destroyed by the Nazis so we could only see the ruins and in front of this there was a memorial place with many plaques in ...

Lot do Amsterdamu i kolejny do Warszamy przebiegły bez problemów.

After walking the site we caught the bus back to the Auschwitz site and caught the train back to Krakow.

It has been a long day and it is only 7pm. We've decided ...

Ania doskonale pamietala swoich dziadkow i wciagala ich dokladnie w te same zabawy, ktore lubila jeszcze przed wyjazdem. Wpasowala sie w codzienna rzeczywistosc tak, jakby nigdy ...

... Auschwitz I. Auschwitz I was filled with the victims' memorabilia. It was simply heartbreaking. We went into room after room and there were just cases of people's belongings. One room had nothing but people's eye glasses and another, people's cooking pots that they had brought along with them to the camp, another with the suitcases that victims brought their belongings in, and so many other personal items. The room that had the biggest impact ...
