... as Sydney or Newcastle, and it has only been in the last 5-6 years that I've crossed the border to visit Melbourne & hit along the Great Ocean Road (including a week long stay at the gorgeous little town of Lorne. There are some amazing rainforests down that way too.<br><br>I've since worked my way up the NSW coast a little, having a New Year's holiday at Port Macquarie; and more recently ...
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia glauron... bike which is cool because there are tons of trails around here so it’ll give me a chance to get a bit more exercice! The hard thing is to remember to keep riding on the right side… come to think of it, I’ll probably walk my bike to the bike trails, probably safer that way! J Sunday was then filled with more walking around the markets and cafés, did my groceries for the week (bought some more kangaroo, yummy!!) and ...
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia caro_paquette... went to Parliament House and had a look around the inside. But when we got to the roof....we saw our friends Harry, Tracey and Evie, that we met in the caravan park. That night we invited Harry, Tracey and Evie to come over for a play/drink.We had a fun time in Canberra, and meeting new friends, it would be great if we bumped into them again.
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia rossis_on_tour... bus was going the other way but the driver actually got out of the bus with a map and tried to show us where we needed to go. A good start to Canberra I think, people aren't usually that nice and helpful. It was getting late at this stage and a half an hour wait for the next bus so we forked out for a taxi to our accommodation instead. I rang my uncle to let him know we weren't calling over and had a chat. I don't think he realised how late it was ...
GPS for 742 Au$ incl. fuld tank hos Hertz.
Canberra, Australia joergen... bus journey to Sydney, where we checked into a 10 bed dorm in Maze backpackers. Well this must have been the worst place I have ever stayed - you couldn't even see the floor and the place stank! Just look at the picture! Needless to even say we checked out of there on Saturday morning and moved into another hostel which is much nicer. On Saturday I also went to a free music festival near where we are staying, it was ...
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia davidb123uk2Hello havent had much to say recently and been getting used to gettin up at 6.30am to go to work for the last 2 weeks so not had time to jump on a computer. I have now though! Had a great kiddies party for Louises birthday and valentines day went out with the girls for a yummy meal and drinks in surry hills - another part of town we explored! Sat night we went to a mate of Jess;s party in Newtown ...
Sydney still!!!, Australia lorraine11... amp; leave it at that. I won't bore you with the details. Needless to say - we didn't stay. Fortunately the 2 girls who drove us there were still on the grounds, so we were able to get a ride back to cairns. On our way back we saw a flock of cock-a-toos. Apparently there are alot of them here in the wild. They like to fly near the tops of trees. This morning we got a ride to Townsville ...
