Today we decided to take a drive up the west side of the island and discover some of the beaches.

We headed into Kata Beach, where we did our first dive from the beach the day after we arrived. ... on ne réalise pas les profondeurs et les différences de profondeurs... Bref, on est peu, voire bien à la rue. Celine ne m'en voudra pas de dire ici qu'elle était bien à la rue elle aussi au début du safari. Elle est pourtant advanced open water mais avait elle aussi 10 plongées dont la dernière remontait à un an en arrière...  Les similans ne sont que des sites qui sont à minimum 45 mètres de fond, souvent avec du courant et 90% des plongées sont des dérivantes (on ne revient ...

... uns manchmal furchtbar frustriert, wie sehr man einen Hals bekommen kann, wenn bei der perfekten Welle plötzlich ein dummer Schwimmer vor deiner Nase auftaucht, und und und. Max hat uns dann auch noch ein Youtube-Video empfohlen, und dieser Song von Jack Johnson, zusammen mit dem Video mit Surfer Gerry Lopez, ist dann auch unser "Kata Beach"-Song geworden, wir haben ihn ständig angehört und davon geträumt jemals so surfen zu können... Träumen darf man ja! 5 Summer ...

I was the only one though, everyone else cycled the whole 60k including Jo, who the guide said was the first girl ever to have cycled the whole 60k using the hardest route (the boys all decided they wanted to do the **********e). They were all exhausted afterwards butg very pleased with themselves, and we were rewareded with a dip in a beautiful secluded waterfall and a trip to see tutles and fish in a marine sanctuary.

... is something we can only admire and we all walked around together sharing stories about the kids in our care.

After we had finished at the butterfly garden we boarded the coach to go to KFC in Phuket Town. This had been laid on for free for all of our kids (about 70 in total with the Holland House kids) and all of the staff. The chicken kept on coming out by the bucket load and there seemed no end to it. We really were treated by KFC and the kids all ...
