breakfasts, lunchtime snacks & sandwich dinners.

Had the barreado works, barreado being a hearty gooey beef and cassava gnocchi stew which is served with banana and rice. This was preceded by pickled mussels, a couple of fishy dips, and a strange sweet pepper, nut and raisin relish ...

I had a brown horse who liked to eat green grass and trot fast when the other horses did. Unfortunate for my butt! I liked it more when we galloped than trotting, I think the trick was to actually kinda stand up on the foot ...

A bit of drama on our flight from Foz to Curitiba. The clocks in Brazil had gone forward by an hour which we knew absolutely nothing about. We turned up at the airport thinking we had hours to kill, in fact the flight was due to leave in about 20 minutes - and we came about as close as you would ever want to to missing it! Nuts!

We flew with a small budget airline called Webjet - Brazil's equivalent of Easyjet basically. And soon after take-off ...
