... after sunrise (it was a midnight to 17:00 drive) we were exposed to one of the most beautiful road trips in the world - somewhat reminiscent of the alpine landscape we just left but much more dramatic. Therefore I and most of the others chose to get horses up, despite several of us including me having done little if any horse riding before, and we managed to negotiate a slightly discounted price of 200 rupees each. The day wound down quickly after lunch, and we finally closed up for the day, and congratulated one another on seeing our last patients of the trip. The final count was 2,222 patients.
