Willie and Kath came up for a few day's at half term in October, to catch up with Sid and Debbie and to get a wee rest if that is possible with two small children!! They went on a pumkin hunt at Blenheim but did not tdo the hunt , instead they had a fish and chip picnic in the park, and ran around with the kids all afternoon. Here are a few pic's mailnly of Maisie and Ruan.
Oxford, England, United Kingdom 1073-2... mail - once again, God bless Izzie!

5. Buy Insurance

6. Round the World Tickets - bought them in July, we already know we'll need to change the routes.

7. Credit/debit Cards - had to make sure they wouldn't expire whilst we were exploring the world. I started the process of renewing them about two months ago and it still is an ongoing issue. More on British bureaucracy in future entries.

8. Buy ...
Oxford, England, United Kingdom mgarmanAbout 16 months ago we were walking down the street with my then boyfriend, Michal, discussing what we wanted to do in the future; buy a house, move to another city, travel for a few months. We both agreed that travelling was a far more appealing option than buying a house. Funnily enough when we said that, we'd just passed Trailfinders in Oxford. It would have been a sin not to go in and at least ask about the trip so this is how the idea ...
Oxford, England, United Kingdom mgarman... br>Wandering around the village we browsed numerous antique shops and a shop owned by Prince Charles, although it must have been his RDO because we didn't see him there.

The Snooty Fox, a restored hotel around 500 years old was our next home for the night. Another lovely dinner, this time Grilled Chicken, Lamb and tarty, chocalately things for "puddin" as the local lass serving us called it.<br ...
Tetbury, England, United Kingdom corny15... a couple of jobs, ski resort jobs, retail.. something a bit different to what I do. I did also apply for some computer jobs as well just to see how I go.. As yet nothing!! I'm just wondering if they disregard me because I haven't got my national insurance no yet.. ah well it should be here soon. I'm a bit miffed actually because some of the applications took a bit of time to do and they don't even have the curtesy to even acknowledge your application.
<br ...
Trowbridge, England, United Kingdom sares12Well I suppose it had to happen and it did.. having two pints of cider before actually getting out probably didn't help!
My cousin Kate asked to go out with her and her friend Ally. We weren't sure where to go out so we decided on Bath, apparently there are some good pubs. They were to stay with me at my Aunts place so arrived about 6.30 with their sleeping bags.
As I said we had one pint before we left and then my Uncle ...
Bath, England, United Kingdom sares12... No one fell in and everyone enjoyed our first fish and chips. Ok, Roy's belt "fell in" (it was on the end of Griffin hand at the time) but Tom was undeterred by the negative thinking and fished it out with and big umbrella holder.

Swindon, England, United Kingdom kramertownWell I've only got 5 days to go!! I'm half packed, well my room is. Still got to pack my rucksack and get some foreign cash. Probably wasn't a good idea to agree to fight the day before with so much to do!! Oh well I've agreed now.
Swindon, England, United Kingdom tboxtracy... theatre's balcony overlooking the river (they were all dressed in gladiator gear as the matinee show was Julius Caesar). The moment of high excitement occurred when a motor boat rammed us. The bow of the killer boat was high in the air and the operator could see where she was going. We tried to steer around but the killer boat had a Canadian seeking bow. Right before we collided, Shilo tried to alert the rouge skipper of the impending doom by screaming "Ahoy!" This was a surprise to ...
Rome, Swindon and Stratford Upon-Avon, United Kingdom shiandgabe... its spires, and there are plenty of them to go around.

After touring Oxford, we headed to Stratford via the Cotswolds. We were driving through some of the most picturesque countryside you could imagine. The beautiful rolling hills, and off in the distance, you could see village church towers (square towers) rising up above the trees. It’s not the same as the Alps, but it is very pleasing to view.
