... bit of stability but still a risk and a change. SO... long story short. I decided to postpone the Gold Coast, move in with Ange (& Family) for a week while I meet the family in need and decide if it is the right fit for me.

So that is where I am at, I'll be meeting with the parents tonight and will take it from there.

I'm very excited about this potential opportunity and think it might be exactly what I need!

Stay tuned... I'll let you know what I decide.

... he just said the trip into the city will take an hour. It's a 10 lane freeway from the airport to the city. Of course all the road signs are in Chinese. Hurtling down the freeway, darting between lanes, at 120km/h. Both sides of the road are filled with 20-story apartment towers as far as you can see. Garish Chinese characters in multicoloured flashing neon are everywhere.

... way around the large covered promenade 5th deck. All in all a lovely manageable ship.

We are seated at a table for 6 for dinner and have met one of the couples, Win and John who are from Queensland...they are as unhappy with Mr Abbott as we are with Mr Harper. When they were younger they used to travel about on container ships....once got stuck for 24 hours on one in the Panama Canal because the bribe the captain had paid wasn't high enough. We think they ...

... but the main attraction in my eyes was a producer/DJ, Klingande. If you’re unfamiliar, go listen to Jubel and your life will be changed. The set-up itself was similar to festivals that I’ve gone to around Canada and the US: 5+ stages that are each playing a different genre of music, food stands, merchant stalls selling miscellaneous items. They had however have one DJ stage that had what looked like a bazooka that shot foam out to the crowd every time ...

    We Climbed the Harbour Bridge!

... the designer & constructors of the bridge itself. Facts like 6 million rivets used, 8 years to construct, 25 years to gain approval & only 3 workmen dying from falling from the Bridge can't help but impress. The whole climb involved about 1400 steps, 31/2 hours and several cheesy but can't be missed photo opportunities. The views of the Harbour & City are fantastic. After all that excitement we had to celebrate with a lunch of seafood platter & a "schooner" ...
