“Well, folks, looks like after about a 14 hour flight it is time to wake up and stretch your bones. Please remain seated as the plane is about to land, and welcome to Dusseldorf, Germany.” said the flight attendant with an eager smile. Kaylin and I were awakened by the sound of the passengers clapping, exclaiming how excited they are to be arriving in Germany after the half a day long flight. The museum had a number of interactive displays and presentations on the history of chocolate, a highlight was a large liquid chocolate fountain in the atrium where we are able to sample wafers dipped in Lindt chocolate. Kate and Roy also had the chance to create their own block of chocolate to take home. Nathan was impressed ...

... had free foosball (I love playing even though I suck at it!). We enjoyed a fun night out and met a few really nice German people who we hung out with for most of the evening. In the morning we said goodbye to Hayden and headed out into the city center.

Our first stop was the Dome Cathedral, the main attraction in Cologne. This cathedral is HUGE, and the crazy thing is that they started building this cathedral in the 13th century, 200 years ...
