Watched newly formed flocks of ducks wheeling and dealing as to who should be the leader for the trip south.

Dinner at the local pub/ restaurant. Paul, always braver than me, had the soused herring. From his comments, grin and empty plate, gather it was excellent. I, very happily, polished off a large bowl of pumpkin ginger curry soup.

Timed our scenic drive to perfection. Light rain falling as we walked out into town for dinner. Once we'd had enough of the rain, had dinner. Paul chose what translated to the local spicy seafood hotpot, and, not surprisingly, loved it. I carefully chose the salmon, which was cooked to absolute perfection.

... at 5pm. What a beautiful time at hiddensee. I would recommend this island to anyone. It's so lovely and pretty and the people are great. We had so much fun there :-) On the ferry we met up with susie, one of Marc's friends who lives in Berlin but whom is originally from the island . ... well so we spent a lot of time with her. Not just because of her english of course, she was way cool :-) The beach was lovely, we chatted to Stephan whilst Johnathon played in the sand and tackled Paul. Johnathon is 5 and took a liking to Paul despite the language barriers. Wish I took a photo, it was so cute. It was awesome to meet these 2. They are true sailors of the sea. They sail a beautiful 25ft restored boat, by Stephan even with a pirate flag. Johnathon was the captain. ...
