... we could just walk off the ship and start the tour. The old part of Passau is an island, where the three rivers converge. The Inn River comes from Switzerland and you can feel the coolness on that side of the island. ... the bus ride was over two hours each way, it was well worth because of the scenery. We travelled through a hugely forested hills called the Bohemian Forest in Czech and the Bavarian Forest in Germany. It was foggy on the river but as we climbed up into the hills we went above the fog. What a view with the sun shining brightly, the forested hills and fog in the valleys. We arrived in Passau this morning and for MJ and I, it was a bit of a scramble. We overslept and only woke 20 minutes before our departure for the walking tour. A coffee and a pastry and we were good to go.
