... zones (which didn't really slow us down much). The land remained flat (like Essex county where Windsor is situated) - mainly cornfields with the occasional soy bean field. Went through a small bit of Ohio and then Indiana. Large antique stores are very popular in this area. Crossed in Illinois and spent time at the Visitor's Info Centre to determine which State Park to try and what to see in the State.

This flight I didn't sleep at all, I watched Insurgent! And a lot of random TV shows haha! I decided I'd rather be sleepy when I get home and sleep through the night! Also. Something I didn't realise till before I left Amsterdam is that my layover in Detroit is almost 8 hours... Who planned that?! I wish I'd realised that sooner! Oh well I guess, nothing I can do now! At least people will be awake! ------------ Talking with Matt makes ...

... Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson (she’s in the TV show “The Affair” for those who’ve watched it). We enjoyed the play but it wasn’t amazing. It was fun seeing Jake’s Broadway debut and staring at him and Ruth though! It was still quite early so we headed so Fatty Crab for a snack and a few drinks.

On Tuesday 30th December we got the LIRR train out to Long Island to pick up Jax; our new ragdoll kitten! We made a wrong connection ...

... Was a great atmosphere and the hot dogs were amazing.

Afterwards we took a stroll around Greek town and walked back to the hotel with our senses on alert, this is definitely not a safe town.

When we woke up we took ourselves off to the most economically crippled suburb in the USA to see a street art installation. Basically the houses and many of the piles of debris and rubbish have been turned ...

... and that's not all...sitting there on the plane I started not feel all that great. Had my first allergic reaction to food! I have no idea what I ate, since I did not eat too much. But it all went downhill. I was/am covered in hives the size of quarters! I had to ask the flight attendant for Benedryl! They did not have it! They did however get half the plane involved and called ahead to have the medics meet the plane. With about an hour left, they moved Annie ...
