Aussi bleu que la mer noire
Trois mois de voyage et nous voici à Varna, sur la côte bulgare. 9000 kilomètres parcourus et nous apercevons enfin la mer noire.
Nous traversons la ville, avec ses nombreux casinos et centres commerciaux. Très touristique et bétonnée, nous décidons de continuer encore quelques kilomètres pour dépasser les barres d'hôtels construits au bord de la mer, qui gâchent malheureusement le paysage.

Goodbye my friends...
... by singing the Spice Girls (yes the Spice Girls) song Goodbye. We have already had a few kids come up to us crying, saying they don't want us to go. While it is great to see that we made such an impact on them it is heart breaking for us to see them so upset.

The sun strike is over
... We had planned on celebrating Emma's birthday with her today but unfortunately she has been in bed ill. I'm sure you will join us in not only wishing her a Happy Birthday but also a speedy recovery.
Spirits were revived this evening as the sun has reappeared. It looks as though we will be back on the beach tomorrow. The copious bottles of sun cream in every factor possible are on standby!

Tonight's coolness provides welcome relief from the week of high temperatures we've had. Plans may have to change tomorrow to accommodate the rain. We shall wait and see...

Hot, hot, hot
Not much more to add really. It seems to be getting hotter everyday. Even the Bulgarians are finding it hot so it's not just us pasty Brits!
We had another great morning on the beach despite the intensive heat. A lot of the kids came prepared for the waves today, sporting swimming caps and goggles. The excitement of the sea just doesn't grow old with them. It is still amazing to hear their shrieks of excitement as they attempt (often with the help of the SC team) ...
