    ... it up - and we didn’t realise it was missing until we got to Athens Airport. Bruce jumped in a taxi and headed back to the port hoping it would still be there - and luckily it was. We were also grateful that we had a lot of time between the ship’s arrival and the flight leaving for Rome. It gave us both a real scare but we certainly have learned to double check each other’s bags, etc.

    ... and past the Apano Castro to rendezvous with our bus in the town of Chalki. Our guides had planned a snack and WC break in a small village mid way. We were able to fill our water bottles at the local spring but the cafe was closed: everyone was out helping in the olive harvest!     ... and a small watermelon. The guy was a good salesman, we only wanted a couple grapes! Onward to the museum and we get there around midday. The sausage rolls and cheese puffs from Filoti seem to have worked their magic on Dan and Mish, who are now hunting for the nearest ******** in a hurry. With the crisis averted we can then freely explore the town, picking up small treasures and watching whole cow legs being carted around on scooters ...
