    ... and they both had a feed of leaves that had been placed in a feeding box. Up close for some nice photos but no males with antlers. Not that we haven't seen antlers as hunting moose is allowed for a specific season in Sweden to keep the numbers under control so moose heads with antlers are displayed on many walls. Had a look at a beautiful near by lake - there are 40 lakes in this area and very pretty they are too surrounded by fur and beach trees.

    ... for supplies and after some interesting navigating between Pia and Peter trying his hand at map reading and not knowing Swedish for left and right, we eventually made it to our accomodation. We are in a cute little red summer house cabin (one of half a dozen spaced around a man made lake on a farm. We could have swum in the lake and it felt quite warm, but didn't bring the togs.

    We drove to Geslaved the near by town where Pia works to go to the pharmacy, the bank and the supermarket. Pia bought some fish for tea - salmon, herring and some sauces as well. We headed home for lunch, then returned back at 3.00 for a very special annual day for the community - the prom parade. Couples in their finery paraded up the length of the Main Street with many people watching and offering ...

    ... Flying in to Gothenburg we noticed many green forests and many many lakes. So it was nice to stop and spend some time enjoying one on our first afternoon in Sweden.

    ... road out of the valley and back onto the motor way. Only stop was for lunch at a roadside cafe, then across the border into The Netherlands. Very noticeable as we approached Amsterdam was how wet it was with rivers and lakes everywhere.
