... the opportunity! We traded off rowing, which was hard at first but easy to get the hang off. We rowed through beautiful trees, lily pads and duck families. No one was around us. We woke up early and caught a morning bus to Bremen. Super short and easy 1.5hr drive from Hamburg and we reach the beautiful little city of Bremen. Walking together around the Christmas markets I found out much about Johanna's mother, as she told me all about the farm they own in southern Germany.

... guy just wrote a bunch down on some slips of paper near some kind of photocopier, didn't look at my camera, and then said "Okay, you can go" without talking to me or, in fact, even looking at me or my bag. It was unsettling and I was shaken but my camera remains intact and all its vital parts are still with me, so I'm no worse for wear.

We had "dinner" (such as it was) from a cafe beside our boarding gate, which--again--was just a door leading to ...
