Wow, what a beautiful view from this hotel, located outside of town on the top of a hill, overlooking lagos agentina. The hotel itself is also of good quality, friendly staff.

The location of this property is fabulous. It is perched on a hill, just outside of town (about 10 minutes driving) overlooking Lake Argentina. The restaurant is pretty good. Breakfast is basic but lunch and dinner have more variety. The service is mixed some of the staff are really good, others are not. The hotel and facilities however are excellent so I will still give this property 4 stars.

I guess after a few days in this cold, you start to get somewhat accustomed to the cold. That's a lie, you get more tolerable. No, that's a lie too, how can I say this?? Hmmm...okay, you just deal with it. So I decided to come to El Calafate, Argentina on a whim yesterday. This travel life can be exciting! El Calafate has one of the 3rd largest glaciers in the world and one of the only few who is still ...

We just can't get enough of the soya burgers in Argentina...spinach, mozzarella and tomato, oregano...and many more. Bariloche is also famous for its chocolate shops... one evening we ended up having hot chocolate for dinner (after sampling some of the shops chocolate offerings)...simply delicious.

The main meat of an asado is lamb, however there was other meat on offer, although whenever I went up to the meat counter and asked for something else other than lamb, say chicken or sausage, the chef would mumble say something in Argentina slang and give me a chunk of lamb anyway. We met up with another Torres del Pane trekker that night Dan for a few beers. Dan had a few set backs in the park, like his tent poles snapped on the first night, ...
