Wow, what a beautiful view from this hotel, located outside of town on the top of a hill, overlooking lagos agentina. The hotel itself is also of good quality, friendly staff.

The location of this property is fabulous. It is perched on a hill, just outside of town (about 10 minutes driving) overlooking Lake Argentina. The restaurant is pretty good. Breakfast is basic but lunch and dinner have more variety. The service is mixed some of the staff are really good, others are not. The hotel and facilities however are excellent so I will still give this property 4 stars.

... Trail is very steep. Good physical condition is required!" A lack of good physical condition hasn't stopped us before, so it wasn't going to stop us here. And it didn't. We made it to the top and the weather gods did smile on us! The winds had blown away almost all of the cloud so we could at last see the peak of Mt. Fitz Roy piercing the skyline (along with the other two of Los Tres). Another great vista to add to the many we've seen so far. So ...

A trip to the Upsala Glacier had been booked before we left. It is called this because it was first studied by geologists from Uppsala university in Sweden but the Argentines like to name things themselves, so they dropped one 'p'!! The hotel told us that, as we had a car, it was better to take the car than go on the coach transfer. So at 7.30 we set off the 43kms to the port on the lake where we got the boat. It wasn't clear where we had to go but there seemed to be a ...
