Wow, what a beautiful view from this hotel, located outside of town on the top of a hill, overlooking lagos agentina. The hotel itself is also of good quality, friendly staff.

    Very nice property

The location of this property is fabulous. It is perched on a hill, just outside of town (about 10 minutes driving) overlooking Lake Argentina. The restaurant is pretty good. Breakfast is basic but lunch and dinner have more variety. The service is mixed some of the staff are really good, others are not. The hotel and facilities however are excellent so I will still give this property 4 stars.

... the lake boardwalk - wind has come so you know what that means - some flamingos on the lake. Took a photo of the retaining wall, stones held in place by chicken wire and on our return we walked the grounds of the hotel - huge, with beautiful trees etc, heated indoor swimming pool and spas, gym etc.

... beautiful, cloudless, sunny; a perfect day to witness one of natures wonders. A few fun facts about the glacier is that is one of the worlds few glaciers that is growing, not receding. It is also one of the worlds largest glaciers outside of the polar regions. The glacier is always advancing at 1 to 2 meters per day, an astonishing rate, which provides with some amazing glacial breaks, a sound that is the epiphany of your day. The pictures don't do justice of the vastness of ...

One of the hightlights was the lunch break where our gaucho offered some wine and prepared a delicious traditional lunch. After some frustration and concerns as well as quite some pain on the horse, I really enjoyed this day and got the really gaucho ...

... of traversing the various walkways and viewpoints near the glacier. It was a great excursion. We had done a glacier trek in New Zealand and this met or exceeded that trek. It seemed like the glaciers were quite different and unique in their own ways. The hike wasn't too difficult and it was fun to put the crampons on and explore the glacier and check out the views.

... There are numerous ice bergs floating in the lake which have fallen off the glacier. It has a real presence, almost overpowering in size and you can sense the slow pressure which is built up in its mass causing the deep blue crevasses and fissures across its huge surface. We return to the bus which takes us to a lookout where you can better see the extent of the glacier, its entire face of 4 kms which at its centre almost abuts the hill where we ...
