... buy your train ticket. So we waited patiently at the light with a few other cars and when it turned green we got in line and drove our car right onto the back of a flat-bed train car designed to transport us up and over this mountain pass with no roads. ... non-stick pan with butter and left until crispy before turning. Let’s see if I can do it.

Then came dessert and Pete ordered apple fritters with vanilla cream (which turned out to be custard) and asked could he have a scoop of strawberry icecream and Theresa said NO, it would spoil the flavour! So that was that, no icecream for Pete. And to be fair it didn’t need it at all. It was really funny and we thought it was a great night ...

... we just hung around Starbucks and our cool hotel room and tried to recoup a bit before dinner. Dinner was at a trendy little wine bar, where Steve had his last serving of Rosti (hash browns with some sort of topping you can choose), and I had another great new wine, dried meats, cheese and bread. The ambiance was nice, but Steve looked ready to fall into the table, so we hurried up, headed home and I made his evening great by watching Star Trek with him before bed. ...
