Summary of Our Time at Secrets Maroma!
... room was phenominal, and I would say better than the room at Jumby (which I didn't think was possible). The only thing that wasn't as good was the swim out pool, as you share that with 3 other rooms and at Jumby we had our own, but we seriously didn't care at all because the room and the whole thing was so beautiful! And ************e was using their swim out during the week, so we took advantage a couple of times.
However the pool area is SO fun, so you really don't ...
Playa Del Carmen - Riu Palace Riviera Maya

There was a bar by the exit of the airport (very convenient!) so for $2 we each grabbed our first "cervesa"! our driver was ready and helped us get in the van, even offered to take us to the store to get more cervasas because the airport bar over charges! The trip was about 45 minutes to the hotel, so we said that would be great and we could cool down a bit! Our driver took us to the corner store where we bought a 6 pack of beer for $6 ...

Playa, Tulum and Cenote Diving
... formations. On our way back to the cave entrance we were able to ascend into an air pocket within the cave to see some of these amazing stalactite formations up close, as well as some coral and shells that had fossilized in the cave ceiling.
We had such a great time at the cenote diving - such an amazing experience, and very different to diving in the open ocean.
Next stop for us will be the island of Caye Caulker in Belize.
