... the taste of the water from the metallic well, but even after two passes through the the filter, it still tastes very unpleasant. However I have more success with the water from the cloudy well. After just one pass, the water becomes clear and although it is probably drinkable at that stage, (I try it with no ill effects), we boil it, just to make sure, and find ourselves with perfectly drinkable, clean fresh water.
The basics have been dealt with. We can stay.

One question I am often asked while in Malaysia is "How old are you?".

The question Des is often asked is “How much did it cost (the camper truck)?”

People are very open here.

In the morning Des put the Gen Set on again to boost the camper batteries, because the solar panels are struggling to keep up due to the overcast and smoggy conditions here in Malaysia.

Final count: not more than 10 hours sleep in three days, of adventure to come back and nonstop dancing and party. After that, my well-deserved rest lasted 25 hours without moving from the bed of the hostel. That’s what I called to be ...

Alor Setar - Our Royal City

After spending some time with Krish's relatives here in Malaysia, we are now visiting Shari's home city of Alor Setar (formerly known as Alor Star). Our 9 bedroom home at WNS Homestay has more than adequate space for all of us, and the 4 girls (Sofia, Jazmine, Kaila and Alyssa) quickly claimed their room, and the boys (Agostino and Lucas) claimed another for themselves. The kids are all getting along so well, and this place is perfect for them to enjoy.
