... 8217;s getting late into the Fall. However wonderful it is, the heavy evening dews may actually be worse than England’s rain for putting away a tent. Completely wet inside from condensation in the cool night air, as well as wet outside from the dew, we are always packing a soaked tent. That and the mosquitos are ever-present again. Just had to add a few negatives so all my Canadian friends burried under snow don't get too jealous ;)

Raggamuffin for a week

... instant. Last time I saw these people, we were playing kiss tag while drinking chocolate milk and now we were dancing and drinking beer. I think we missed a few steps but that's okay. We spent a few hours at a bar in town and then the 2 sober kids drove us to a night club. There was this huge line but this one kid, Hadrien, just walks up to the bouncer and next thing we're in. I begrundgingly cough up the 13 euro it costs to get in (you do ...

Waste of a day

... BUT the info we got for the campsite was wrong and it was closed.. and the one next door too. So a rushed internet trip we found one, way out and got there just in time. France is full of red lights, roundabouts and pedestrian crossings!!!! Im SOOOOO over them all!!!!

Got to the campsite and there were no buses in town,. We were exhausted by then so fell into bed and decided to give up on that part of France and head to Lyon the next day...

... as well about my situation in specific is that I really don't have a care in the world. Time is meaningless, as every minute, every second, is just ephemeral. What matters is what those seconds and minutes amount to. A whole experience. Worrying about tomorrow is useless. When traveling, I had no idea where I would be in 3 days. 2 days was the maximum I would allow myself to look into the future. As a result, time ...

The last thing I expected

... their way back home. Needless to say they were celebrating a win so it was a party on the train. I spoke lots of French, got free drinks and was even given free tickets to the next match by the manager, totally awesome. It was hilarious how retarded drunk French guys act around an American girl. Obviously they were mistaken because I am a smart and attentive American girl, making sure to watch my back and ...

... to allow rain in Italy to clear. Want to re-visit Lake Garda, see if we can't get the spot right next to the lake we last had some 15 years ago, say. Don't know if it's a good idea to go back to the site of happy memories: can you improve on them in any way, or only spoil their rosy glow?
All well with rig, thankfully - you hardly know it's there!

Bastille Day and Le Tour de ChAlli

... email addresses and phone numbers and went our separate ways. We made sure Meghan met up with her friends and we set off on the search of a hostel. The next day was Bastille Day. Like a Sunday in Spain, everything was closed. So we took the opportunity to join all the other tourists not invited to a BBQ and went to catch up on emails, errands, etc. We walked around the town some and enjoyed the empty streets to explore freely. If we thought Spain was hot, France is hotter ...

... a night without Camping Cheques.

There is an on site restaurant, shop and pool with waterslide.
We took a walk into Volnay apart from lots of Caves there is one Petit Casino and 2 bars both of which close at 7pm!!. From the site there is a panoramic viewpoint of the Mersault area.
We plan to leave as soon as the gates open for the last 300 or so miles to Chateau du Gandspette.

Goodbye Letter / Carta de despedida / Lettera d'ad

... I was born in a factory, maybe in China, maybe in Forcella (Napoli), I ignore it. I have been living the first months of my life in a box. We were a lot, all shining, but we couldn't know as there was no sun. Then, one day a voice came. It was always a different voice coming from far. This voice used to bring with her one of us. One says that going with that voice meant getting a kind of Nirvana, because, in that occasion we would have reached ...
