... up all the loose ends proved to be difficult. However, we managed to rent out our house in Beverley. Lucy had received her passport so on October the 1st we at last managed to set sail. The following is we hope, a fun and interesting way of keeping our friends and families informed of our whereabouts and also anyone else who wants to take a look.

We are now in Heart Beat country and the lakes district it was a 3 hour drive from Rochdale but worth every minute in the car .the scenery was just as you would expect it to be and we felt like we are in a episode of Heart Beat .We traveled up into a town called goathland were the TV show is filmed you may know it as Aidensfield .

... keep a low profile for a couple of weeks…depending on the political situation, head Northeast to Kandy district for a week.

Fly to Bangkok, Thailand the day before Christmas Eve. Start making our way Northeast.

Pass through Laos on our way to Hanoi, North Vietnam. Spend a week there.

Head south through Vietnam, to the North/South border military base.

Cross into Cambodia and make our way to Phnom Penh. Spend a week there.

... was a long que ... but we were happy as it this not what its all about. I left G to finish her half pint of Vod and headed into Micks chipperie. The smell of deep fried chips and haddock was sublime ... I knew then YES we were travelling. My only disapointment was they were out of cod so we got 2 bags of chips for the kids fishcake and some haddock.

The ride home was very sad as all to soon our adventure ...
