Another beautiful day in paradise. Clear blue sky again greeted us as we started the morning with a cruise on Lake Lucerne. The water is crystal clear in the shallows and currently about 12degrees. It did completely ice over in the 1960's and they were skating on it. The lake is Qin e shape of a cross and his is represented by the white cross on the Swiss flag. Which by the way is the only one that is square. Then it was off for the 45 minute drive to the town of ...

... 15.8599996566772px;">Our hotel is lovely. We were able to pop out of the train station and walk across the bridge to our hotel. As a side note, cobblestone streets were not made for heavy luggage, wheels or not. We have a room on the fifth floor, overlooking the water and oldest covered bridge in Europe. The bridge dates back to 1333, the tower predates by about 30 years. Our first glimpse of the city is beautiful. The shops in old town are pretty, ...

... slowly and steady. However, not being particularly strong climbers on a bike, we were happy to take the train. We started out riding with the group to Meiringen, a beautiful ride along a lake with gorgeous views of snowy peaks. Since the sun had come out and there was blue sky to be seen, the pictures look much cheerier today. (We had started to believe that the blue sky in the commercial ...
