On our arrival we boarded the gondola from Engelberg to Trubsee station, then the cable car to Strand Station then the last stretch in the Titlis Rotair rotating gondola up to the top of Titlis, 3020 metres. On arrival to Lucerne we went up to the Lion monument which commemorates the massacre of the Swiss Guards in 1792 during the French Revolution. It was a very impressive sculpture. We were then off for a cruise ...

... t ask for much better conditions. We had the remainder of the day to explore the town at our leisure. We found a chocolatier which made their own chocolates. We bought great dark and milk chocolate with almonds .....very tasty!!!! We joined four of our fellow travelers ( Dennis & Phillis, Buck and Sandy) for dinner at the edge of the lake. We had a great dinner (club sandwich and Caesar salad) recommend by our waitress (sweetpea). She was really ...
