... Dinner included a course of soup and then chicken curry and rice followed by ice-cream cake.

After dinner a few room parties were rumoured to take place. (As Switzerland is very expensive for alcohol) I was invited to a room party and the party goers wanted some alcohol so we went for a late night walk to find some. On our way down the street we came across a small group of guys cracking whips. I still don’t know if they were having ...

Our dinner was a delicious fondue followed by salad, schnitzel, rosti, ...

By which time we were at the bottom of Mt Pilatus. Jaungfrau would have been ok but a much longer day. Mount Pilatus is a mountain overlooking Lucerne in Central Switzerland. It is composed of several summits of which the highest (2,128 m) is named Tomlishorn. The other summit named Esel (2,119 m) which we ...

... where we got to choose from three local restaurants, in chick to dine. Grissies decided to eat at Wirtschaft zur ente. There we had a wonderful dinner: Started with an aperitif of champagne, mineral water, elderflower syrup, lime piece and mint - very refreshing and a great summer drink. Will have to see where I can source the elderflower syrup from .... hmmmm Then bruschetta with tomatoes and a hint of chilli - the tomatoes in both Italy and here have been ...
