We leave Cres Town on a brighter Monday morning. At 6:30am no one is around so we tie up to the town pier amongst the tour boats and fill up with water. By 7:00am we are on our way heading south along the west coast. The wind is gusting and the sea is confused but we are expecting the forecast to improve during the day. We cruise past Lubenice, a tiny hamlet perched in the cliffs 380 metres above us. We pull into Martinscica, 15NM south of Cres Town for a ...

Today we have woken to an absolutely glorious morning after some pretty average weather over the weekend. Last Thursday we made our way around Cape Kamenjak, the southern tip of Istria and set for Cres Island. On the way we popped into Veruda Marina, Pula to fill up with diesel and water. There was no water on the fuel ...

We have a wander and find the local market west of the main centre of town. We do have a problem .... no kettle on board. In Croatia it seems one uses a little pot, ...

Lovely Losinje, but no Cres for us, thanks.

So we took the ferry from Brestova on the mainland, to the island of Cres. It's a very long and thin island, almost snake like, with a single spinal main road running the length of it. Initially the scenery was spectacular but sadly, the island as a whole didn't appeal to us one bit. It reminded me of crossing the yorkshire moors, bleak and, after twenty to thirty miles of the same, quite boring. The situation ...

Pag island

I woke up relatively early after not getting any sleep for majority of the night. Scooters and bikes and loud drunks echoed into the window keepng a few people from sleeping. I was first up for breakfast and enjoyed the view of eggs and sausage and cereal ...
