We took an 8 hour tour of Denali. Shuttle buses take people beyond mile 16 all the way to Kantishna if you choose. We met Bob & Shirley in Watson Lake. They gave us pointers for Riley Creek and the shuttle to Eielson Center. All in all it was a reading site seeing day. Tim Linebaugh was the shuttle driver and was very informative. He would also stop anytime when someone would spot wildlife or a scene they wanted to capture.

The hot springs were wonderful and reserved for adults. It was very very hot! We also went into the Ice Palace. Chena Hot Springs provides huge, heavy parkas, yeh! The carvings are really awesome. Love the clearness of the ice. We also had Appletini's... yum. There are also ice rooms to stay overnight in in the palace. I opt for the hot springs. ...

Today we set off to the Husky Homestead Tours, a 15 minute coach ride down the road. The ownerof the homestead isJeff King a four time winner of the world famous Iditarod dog sled race. On arrival we got introduced the new puppies around 6 weeks old, the mandatory photos took place and wewere whisked off to hear all about the dogs and their training ...

... Woke up Monday to clear skies and jumped in the van to drive to the State Park's southern view overlook of Denali...there it was! Huge and clear!
