Within Denali, the peaks are about 4500 feet to 8000, but Mt McKinley is 20300+ ft. It continues to grow at 1cm a year in height due to the position over 2 tectonic plates. By the end of the bus trip, those people in the outgoing buses saw clouds over McKinley..not great for the camera shots.

... on. We had stumbled upon the 49th state brewery. We bellied up to the bar and began tasting a few so we could bring back a couple of growlers. As we were sampling the brew I received a text from Nancy asking where are we? We were so taken by the brewery we came back to the campsite and decided to go there for dinner. We saw Dall sheep a couple of times but only off in the distance. Our best sighting was a female moose who decided to parallel the bus for awhile. Other than a number of ground squirrels, that's about all the creatures (that don't suck your blood) that we observed during the day.
