... As predicted, it was an absolute scorcher. So much so, Jon took Prego to the lake twice to dunk her to cool off (even though we made her lie in the shade the whole day), I had to take my chair and book down the hill to find shade a couple of times and, no word of a lie, Jonathan underscore Bowles was heard to say these two sentences "it's just too hot" and "I never thought I'd say it, but I'd be grateful for some cloud"!! We sorted screens, windows, curtains etc. and said goodbye ...

The sun was shining so after exploring the town we set off towards the coast to see the ...

Early to wake to clear blue skies and scorching sun and a quick getaway as no awning. So a few cuppas, some breakfast biscuits, a nice stroll / run for Prego and off to Denmark. A minor mishap with local roadworks had us diverted onto the right path, only to hit a sequence of main roadworks along the journey. But with the Elbtunnel, the number of massive bridge crossings and the various ins and outs of roadworks reduced lanes (number and width!), Jon did remarkably ...
