First things first. We headed out at 9 to capture a glimpse of Old Faithful. She did not disappoint! While there we paid a visit to the RV auto station to have air put in the Eagle's tires. Because of something funky with her valves the tires had to be removed to do so. The upside is it took less than the predicted hour and we are pretty sure the mechanic is Johanna's ...
... push. (Our original plan had been to stop at 65 miles and shuttle in the car to Pocatello, then come back out the next morning. But with the tail wind, we figured we could make it into Pocatello without exhausting ourselves, then spend all of tomorrow morning with Ken and Krys - and the grandkids - and ride on to Idaho Falls Monday afternoon.)

... in Yellowstone. Then it was off to the Ruby Tuesdays opposite, where we had a brilliant evening. The bar staff in there were great, and even gave us a free dessert as it was our honeymoon! There was live music and we spent an hour chatting to a complete stranger about our trip- it's moment like this that make you want to stay! After a few cocktails and beers we decided to call it a night ready for the long drive tomorrow ...
... this did happen. Temperatures ranged from the mid-30s F all the way down to 20F (that's 20, not "20s") at some of the higher elevations, and I had clear conditions early but then varying precipitation from cold rain to wet snow to pure snow, and their resultant effects on the road surfaces. As a consequence, my anticipated 7-8 hour drive ended up taking around 11 hours...had to back it down as applicable.
... heavy things, our backs needed some tender loving care. We each nurtured ourselves with chiropractic appointments before we left Jackson. Thank God for good chiropractors! They of course reminded us both that we are not 22 yrs. old and should be more aware of our backs and other various body parts. I think I will remember in the future to be more careful. It's so miraculous how with a little help our bodies can heal themselves. Fortunately for us nothing ...
