We had a relatively quiet start to this morning as our walking tour did not start until 10.30. This gave us time to shower, pack, breakfast, vibes mums ( mum S was not answering) and Bethany. It is lovely to hear some news from home. We arrived punctually as that's how we roll and the guide did not turn up. A few others were there waiting as well. We gave up and decided to do it ourselves as we really only have a short time until the train leaves at 2 .05 pm. We went to ...

A short walk along the lakeside helped us to digest it all, before finishing with a bottle of wine watching the busy Saturday nightlife from our room's ...

... was spectacular but it looked almost Disneylandish with its over the top decorations, crenulations and statues covering every bit of the surface. Inside, the stained glass windows were like jewels shining in the surprisingly dark interior where enormous columns reached up to the heavens and decorative brassware, paintings and icons abounded. We went to the roof area to see the sculpture menagerie up close and gain a vista over Milan – well worth it ...

Saw Milan... Well the train station

A travel blog entry by sydalextrip on Jul 19, 2013

... sleep in the train station. We stayed up for a bit playing cards infront of the McDonalds, which was closed (this disappointed a lot of people). Then we found a place to camp for the night. The train station itself was closed so we couldn't leave or else we wouldn't be able to get back in. Others had the same idea as us so the station was filled with sleeping people. The worst part was that all the bathrooms were closed (you ...
