Festspielhaus is a traditional building from the outside, built in 1892, so we were very surprised at the modern interior which has been renovated to a modern concert hall with exquisite accoustics. The music was superb! The audience were dressed in their finery and all in all it was a very formal affair, which concluded with all the women attendees receiving a rose on departure!
