    Graham met another trathlete on the campsite and they decided to travel on the 7.30 bus into Geneva. An early start with number tattoos applied , sun cream on and pre race breakfast. I delivered them to the bus stop and went back to see if there was any other signs of life at base camp.     ... Then the fun began. We couldn't find a taxi big enough to take us and the boxes, and by the time we found the bus terminal, the bus we needed had gone. John decided to put the bikes together, just outside the police station, so that we could lock them up and leave them there while we got a taxi to our hotel, and then we would walk back the 3 km and get the bikes, riding them back to the hotel.
