... half an hour or so, then it's downtown madness! Car after car, jam after jam. We didn't'move once we hit the downtown, this was worse than London in rush hour! As we crept a long there were markets, temples and people that lined the roads. I noticed street food vendors sitting next to their stands whilst using there iPads. Bangkok seems very developed, everyone is connected. There is pollution ...
... and food, even gold flakes for sticking on the statues. These items are sold at each Wat and are placed at Buddha's feet. After a bunch has accumulated, someone would come along to gather them back up for resale to the next set of visitors. The people are very tolerant of all the gawking tourists and what must surely be a great lack of respect for their shrines.

Hey Everyone, Happy new year!
On Monday we caught a bus to Poipet, the Thai boarder, followed by a 5 hour public bus to Bangkok. It was pretty eventful as the public bus dropped us in the north of Bangkok in the dark, and this city is bloody massive. We managed to avoid being scammed by a taxi who wanted 800 baht for a journey which ended up costing us 160 baht!... but we finally made it to our lovely hostel, ...
... later and found Paul sitting with his foot in a puddle of blood and even more bits of skin hanging off. We performed a quick bit of first aid to stop the bleeding and fed him a can of coke to get some colour back in his face and headed to the hairdresser. See photo below.
We are off next to Ho Chi Minh city where we are meeting our friends. We will be there for 4 nights and then we are heading to Mui Ne for a beach holiday
