... Natchez Mississippi. We arrived around 2:00 and went to the tourist information and decided to spend the night. Booked into our hotel and then went to see one of the historic houses - LONGWOOD. We got there at 4:00 and did a 1/2 hr tour. The lady that lead the tour was very good, she told us why only the bottom floor was finished and the top 4 were not. In 1858 Mr. Nut (love the name) bought the land and an older home for ...

Day 3 Headed out later after doing an hour of yoga and and hour of meditation.I made a goal of Baton Rouge for today and spent the day winding my way along the Mississippi River. ... Anna and Alex Campbell. She did indeed. She showed us a historical photograph which had been found of Roseland at the turn of the century on the original plantation. Roseland no longer sat on the banks of the Mississippi but it had not been destroyed. It had been moved- twice- and was now sitting on Lake Concordia, where a local veterinarian was restoring it. She shared his name and phone number with us. That evening, we drove back to Concordia Parish to ...

... a candle to the convenience store chicken in Greensburg! It seemed to be a favorite spot for large tour groups. After lunch we had a tour of the first floor of this mansion, built in 1856. The tour guide did a wonderful job showcasing the 4 rooms downstairs. The rest of the mansion is a large inn with 22 guest rooms.

This evening we returned to eat at "Roux 61" and retired early to get some ...
