My lasting thought of Memphis will be this: rain and mud! We arrived at the National Civil Rights Museum, the site of the murder of Martin Luther King Jr., to heat and sunshine. The museum was a real eye-opener and so interesting, but a sharp reminder of the costs of discrimination. By the time we reached the campsite it was extremely cloudy and muddy from an earlier rainstorm, but the worst was yet to come as the rain came in ...
