... 9am so we had basically given ourselves one hour to experience reputedly the largest market in Provence. And true to form, it was a sprawling expanse of a market, filling not only the town square but many side streets and back streets as well. But even with such a vast number of stalls to cover, in such limited time, it is amazing how quickly you can make decisions under such pressure and Susan would surely not be leaving Apt without leaving ...

It's only 9 degrees outside, a howling wind blows and its started to ...

... charm. It's upper level is where the old town resides with stunning views over the valley's below. We enjoyed a funny episode when a man tending his garden came over (no English) and beckoned us to follow. We glanced warily at each other and then I followed! We wondered if he was taking us to his house, down some steps along a grassy path and then we come into an opening with views way down to the river. We guessed he was showing us the old castle ramparts. Non. ...

... less than 30 downhill kilometres to Millau, Dave, Linda, Mesfin and I burned it down except for a brief stop at the tiny town of Le Monna on D991 for a quick snapshot of the town sign. Because we had to, right?

Getting to our hotel in Millau was no problem and when we arrived we saw Jill, Barry and Sue enjoying cold adult refreshments on the patio. By 5pm, most of the gang had checked in, cleaned up, and were meeting in the ...
