Oh! Traveling is exhausting. At 4:00 a.m. went through customs at Vancouver Airport. I told the agent the way I knew Fred and Carla was through "couch surfing". That satisfied her/him. All flights on time other than flt. lvg. Houston for Orlando. Don't like Houston Airport. No free WiFi. No cokes. I am so glad this is my last entry in this ...

I stayed at The Delta Vancouver Airport hotel recently whilst in town on business.
I was extremely impressed both by the accomodation and the service I received.
I stayed in a deluxe room located on the top floor of the hotel. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever encountered- featherbed and duvet- similar to the Westin product at a lower price
All of the staff I interacted with were extremely friendly and efficient .
I can't fault this hotel on any level . Five minutes from the airport with a complimentary shuttle running every 20 minutes - even the driver was a great ambassador for the hotel!
I have stayed at this hotel several times when arriving late in Vancouver or when changing flights. I can't say enough about their service. The lobby is small and the check-in desk quite awkward, but other than that, this place is a gem.
What impressed me most this time is we were caught on a delayed flight from Hawaii and everyone missed their connecting flights. Air Canada didn't have people on hand to help. The shuttle bus driver and night manager made calls and helped everyone (several who were elderly people with no idea of what to do) to know when and where they were going in the morning. I've been there before when the shuttle bus was overwhelmed and they called taxis to help.
Rooms are not huge, but clean with comfy beds. What else do you need in an airport hotel?
Paid for a premier room but got a standard that was dirty and dingy. Overlooked part of an overhang and the parking lot and located right across from the elevators. Found hair on my pillowcase and bathroom was not cleaned properly. Parking was free but as a woman travelling alone it was very frightening to have to park the car in the dark lot and walk to the Lobby. All the staff I encountered were very friendly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is even slightly particular about cleanliness.
A group of eight stayed here on our return from skiing at Whistler. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the airport since we had a flight the next day. We were pleasantly greeted at the hotel entrance when we arrived where arrangements were suggested to store our ski/board gear so we wouldn't have to drag it upstairs and back. That suggestion was most helpful and appreciated and of course we accepted. There was some filming for a movie at the hotel when we arrived which added to our excitement of being in Vancouver. One of our adjoining rooms was ready upon arrival so we dropped our suitcases there and caught the transit bus outside the door for a straight shot to downtown. The bus stop location was a big plus since we had no personal transportation. We saw and did all we could in one day in Vancouver; sightseeing, the IMAX, all you can eat shusi, and dancing at a club downtown. When we returned, we pick up our key to the other room as prearranged with no problem. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. It included tolietries and coffee. We played cards for a short while and when the front desk called (around 2:00 a.m.) because we were too loud they were apologetic and still very nice. When it was time to go we retrieved our gear and caught the complimentary shuttle. The shuttle driver too was helpful. He patiently waited for our group to load everything although it put him a little off schedule. We only stayed one evening here but we very much enjoyed ourselves. We will return soon.

I have just returned from a business trip to Vancouver and felt I just had to write a recommendation for the Delta Vancouver Airport hotel
I travel quite extensively on business but have never been so impressed by the level of service that I received at this hotel. I was truly made to feel like a guest as opposed to a number.
My experience began on my trip from the airport to the hotel. The driver of the free shuttle bus was very personable friendly and informative.
On check in the staff were genuinely pleased to see me and took time to give me all the information I required
I stayed on the top floor of the hotel in a Deluxe room. The bed has a feather bed and feather duvet and I had one of the best sleeps I have ever known The room had a great view of the marina and mountains.
Throughout my stay every member of staff I encountered including the maids who serviced my room were extremely friendly and seemed happy to work there
I dined at the Elephant and Castle restaurant while I was there. I should add that this not like many E and Cs that you may have experienced. This reataurant is actually on the river and has an extensive patio. They have live music on weekends and the service I received there was personalised with the staff recognising me after only my second visit.
I was also very pleased with room service that I ordered- great quality of food with again a very high level of customer service.
From the time I checked in right through to the day I departed I cannot fault a single aspect of my stay.
Awesome Staff and Beds
I recently stayed at this hotel on my way to Hawaii. I was greeted in the Lobby by a bellman who actually seemed to be interested in helping me rather than have his hand out for a tip. Refreshing considering some of the other hotels I have stayed at in Richmond. Once we got to our room, we noticed that they had recently installed feather beds and douvets. Talk about a great sleep.
I would reccommend this hotel to anyone staying near the airport, not only is it close but the service and ammeneties are fabulous.
Last year I was in a terrible accident where I injured my back quite badly. Ever since, I have not been able to sleep properly, having to take medication every night.
When checking in at the front desk, I upgraded to a "Deluxe Room" because the agent spoke so highly about this featherbed and duvet. I thought why not, I will try something new and who knows.
Well not only did I sleep through the night for the first time in the last year, it was probably the best sleep I have ever had. Upon check-out at the hotel I asked about where I could find one of these featherbeds and they gave me a contact to purchase one. I bought it, and since then my sleep has gotten so much better that I feel like a new person.
I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel in every aspect. From dining to customer service. If there was anything I needed, they were there to help with a smile and a hand.
So thank-you to the Delta, I will be back soon!
We've stayed at this hotel twice while in Vancouver and have been VERY pleased by the service. Everyone is always so nice! The rooms are comfy and clean, and the last time we were there they had nice cozy down comforters on the beds. We prefer to stay here rather than in the city as it is much less pricey and convenient to getting around town.
My sister (handicap and in wheelchair),my niece and myself stayed in your hotel on September 1 st.
Arrived at check in time to find our reservation had been cancelled, no handicap room as promised, charged $26.00 for a room cancellation (a second room) which I might add was done at least 72 hrs before the date.
No one helped us with luggage to our room at check in or next day at check out, as a matter of fact we were verbally abused by a young bell-boy when he discovered we had taken the luggage rack to our room the night before. No one had been available to assist us to our rooms with all our baggage so we had to go and find a rack. Once we arrived at our room, we felt that we would keep the rack in our room to assist us in the morning. When he complained to us that we had kept it...we told him..."well we've had some problems here too, so I guess we're even"...he responded with "that's your opinion lady".
The service we received and the treatment by the bell-boy unfortunately guarunteed that we would never stay in your hotel again.
Absolutely wonderful service
I stayed one night at this hotel and hated to leave! I've travelled quite a bit and in terms of service, this hotel was one of the best.
From the front desk reception to the airport shuttle driver, I felt like royalty. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for an airport hotel in Vancouver.
