Why'd they have to put Phoenix so far away? <br>Eleven and a half hours of driving and we're only to Provo. It was gorgeous though. We saw about a dozen deer coming down the Swan Valley, kind of in and out of the rain. As morning broke there were patches of fog clinging to the trees and hiding our views of the mountain tops--but beautiful still.<br>In fact, Seeley Lake was socked in when we got there--I've never seen fog there before ...

... have continued past the Bristlecone Pine Grove to the glacier. Yes, there is a real glacier in Nevada in the Great Basin Desert. We have seen plenty of glaciers during this trip, so we passed on the additional mile (and another 600 foot of elevation change) each way.<br><br>On the return drive back down the mountain, we enjoyed the aspen trees turning yellow and orange. It is already fall here and soon will be winter. We got back to the motorhome around 3:00 pm.

... to take another visit back to the dunes, and I do really like to drive the four wheeler up and down huge sand dunes! We stayed 2 nights, and both nights there were some great sunsets. Weather was warm and nice, and it was a good time...quite an interesting place.

Diamond Fork, which you climb up to the springs from the 3 Forks "trailhead" and get to walk downhill after your soak, or Fifth water, where you walk down past several waterfalls to the spring and then walk back up when you're done.
