... Hong). And others came for the day (Amy, Winnie, Uncle Francis, Aunty Judy, Grandma Wong, Uncle Kee, Aunty Kit, May, Kitty, Kinson).
Despite a few cloudy/rainy moments, it was delightful. I believe I gorged myself to a new level, something I don't aspire to do again.
... Panama Canal earlier this year. We are now in Parry Sound which apparently has over 30,000 islands or so the signs say. We may go on a 2 hr cruise on the Island Queen around some of those Islands tomorrow morning before heading to Niagara Falls!
Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada rahall... for that to happen-that said I better get ready if I go back next year, perhaps I will take some dance classes and stop fooling around in hiphop calss. Anyhow, the competition was fierce this year, our team went further than ever before, so next year watch out! Of coarse the Winners were on fire this year and claimed victory back from thier husbands who cheated last year to beat them, no names cuz we all KNOW who they are!!
Outside of Barrie, Ontario, Canada claudia.lisaThere never really is enough time is there? Any visit to a good friend is never long enough, and any stay in a beautiful places makes you long for more time.
It's been a wonderful time here at Pioneer, and if I had more time up my sleeve I could definitely handle a much longer stay here.
A bit of background for those that don't know what led me here to this woodsy area of Ontario....
I came to Pioneer specifically to visit a very dear friend that lives here with her ...
Here I am in the woods of Muskoka It's incredibly beautiful, right on a lake, trees everywhere and that warm cosy familiar feeling of being back in a camp environment.
I arrived out here this afternoon after hitching a ride with Nicole's parent's, Marcel and Virginia. One added bonus of my hotel last night was that it was only five minutes from a Yonge line stop and making my way out to see Nicole's parents was pretty quick and easy. Nicole (my ...
We get to the Cottage and are surprised that it is so rustic! We are not rustic people and I guess we though it would be better kept and less buggy. We gt unpacked - another feat. We did have time the first day to sit on the beach and watch the sunset. It was cloudy and rained overnight.
La Fontaine, Ontario, Canada helen.lathrop... our trip again.... By way of celebration, we decided to spend a few days at Killbear Provincial Park on Georgian Bay, just north of Parry Sound. The only problem now is that our camera broke :-( so we don't have any evidence of the really gniess rock formations at the park, or proof that Ariel and Mateo jumped off a cliff and swam to shore.... update: Thanks to Carla and Mariano, who were at Killbear with us, we now have photo evidence of Killbear.
Parry sound, Ontario, Canada ariteoI managed to organise a flight from Zurich to Toronto via Reykjavik (Iceland) arriving in Toronto 22nd July. Leslie and Reg (along with Jock & Monty their 2 Shelties) met me to drive to Parry Sound on Georgian Bay. As it was dark on arrival I was unable to see the view of the lake until the morning. What a sight it was when I surfaced the next morning - water and islands as far as the eye could see. The lake is about 20m from the house where I went ...
Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada caroladele... the scenery was blurred by the speed - that would have made an awesome photo! Along Lake Simcoe our train ran perpendicular to a calm canal - we looked straight out a tree lined waterway on the brown tumultuous lake - only for a second and then we were past. We thought we were getting up early and that arriving half and hour before departure ...
Washago, Ontario, Canada lolly... the entire ceremony. Oh well, the best was yet to come. I was able to catch up with old high school friends. The dinner was delicious. And the emcee was funny. Unfortunately, my jet-lag started to kick in and I grew incredibly tired. We did leave the wedding early but I still managed to enjoy myself. Congratulations again, Carl and Sara!
