    This used to be a great place to stop! The only thing that would occasionally wake us through the night was wildlife! One time we were kept awake by a screech owl. Nate will remember that! We were in the tent trailer. But last night , it was all human! Just across the way is a huge tent, with a bunch of teens and preteens. When we went to bed it was quiet. Around midnight and until 2:30-3 when I finally fell asleep, they were talking loudly, laughing, swearing ...

    It was drizzling in Echo Bay this morning, but we decided to move on anyway. We were excited to take a new route. Last year we had taken an inner channel up to Parry Sound and this year we had decided to go along the route skirting the south side of Parry Island.

    ... have never provisioned for this long of a trip and our boat was substantially heavier, sitting 7 inches deeper in the water this year! We have a very large storage area packed with dry goods and drinks! It's been an interesting process and we will probably pick up some tips for next year.
