Hi everyone..
This is a note to say I have not forgotten that I fully plan on properly filling in the gaps of this blog specifically so that those of you I haven't seen will know what I did while I was foot loose and facy free in Europe!
I am currently putting all of my pictures on facebook for those of you who have access. For those who do not I will post on ...
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada hisgirl... hit me last week as I took stock of all of the things I will be missing while away... Thanksgiving, Hallowe'en (I love hallowe'en at work.. it actually made me sad walking through the dollar store the other day! I'm a weirdo, I know), tv, being able to sing all alone in my car, not being able to easily communicate in every country I am (I am blessed however because I am confident in english, french and can manage in spanish to at least find a bathroom and ...
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada hisgirl... our return, we researched the design and Albert found a place to order a plan.

The Teardrop is a popular design from the 1930's to 40'.s There are many different types of Teardrops. We settled on the modified Benroy design. After much research and lots of emails and gathering of information as to where to order parts etc. the building began on Easter Weekend.
It's now in the final stages. Keep checking the photo updates.
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada wheretheydrive... Mom home. The last 20 minutes were brutal but I made it safe and sound. All in all I was up for 24 hours straight with a few cat naps over the Atlantic so I had no problem falling asleep that night. I came home 5 pounds lighter as did Mom so I guess all of that gelato didn't do too much damage. Italy is a great place to visit with all of its history and lovely ...
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada canadianmom... airlines here grow so rapidly that they are unable to provide home-grown pilots. Prices are low, the service is tops, food excellent, complete with free wine and pretty stewardesses. If there is a slight delay they apologise and invite you to have a free dinner in one of the airports restaurant's... Air Canada should send observers to relearn the trade. The plane was full of mainly European tourists. Siem Reap is a dusty Cambodian city and Cambodia is one of the ...
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada littkeWell Ottawa! It was an interesting visit and a pretty little place. I spent 10 days in prison there... but more about that later! A small city and an odd one for the capital but none the less it was kinda cool. My visit started well, a guy i met in California was there at the same time as me in the same hostel. Which by the way was the jail. WE went out drank beer, caught up and all of that stuff that you do over beer! My first few days were ...
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada vicky864... We hopped off the bus to check out the Red bus tour to find they finish at 3:30pm, it is presently 3:20pm. OH BOY! Oh well let us look around the parliament building and just have a wander, gee even this became a challenge, a tour inside was leaving at 4pm. Nope lets just walk around and walk through the city back to the markets. We did this and had some great views of the city and the river, as well as wandered back to the market area for a cuppa and a cream cake ...
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada popusa2008... our shows and put on Crocs and leave everything behind that we would not want to get wet. Sounds like fun. Under the guide of a rafting supervisor/instructor we fastened on our lift jackets and hoisted a raft onto our shoulders and headed up the path. There were about 4 teams per raft for this challenge. We were instructed to put the raft in the water and then we all climbed aboard. The guide was the last one in and he pushed us off ...
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada matsamuelBy Louise Brown, TravelPod Community Manager Getting There Getting to Ontario is easy. There are big airports all over the place, but it's probably best and cheapest to land in the Toronto airport. Ottawa, Windsor, Sarnia, London, Kingston, Kitchener and Hamilton also have airports. The Thunder Bay airport services the entire northern Ontario region (which is ginormous) Getting Around The easiest way to get around Ontario is by car, especially if you plan ...
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada editorinchiefToday is the day! We're out the door and on our way to Tunisia in a few hours. Last minute jitters and we have to run and change the memory cards for Rebeca's camera. Things just didn't go quite the way they were supposed with the Olympus. The local branch of my bank now is convinced I'm a drug dealer. Three deposits of large amounts in $20 denominations. And another one today.
