After a night stay in Owen Sound, a dull place with nothing to mention, we entered Algonquin Park for a weekend of nature and fun, Our first night in camp was a test of character and resolve after our 4 hour drive.

The setting here is incredible. The camp is set amongst forest and lakes and streams and in general breath taking scenery. It’s about 2 hours north of Toronto and not the easiest to access if you don’t have your own transport, but if you can get there its well worth the visit.

I'm sleeping upstairs in the staff lodge, and it's a bit like being back at Living Springs, albeit colder... and people's accents are different. Either way it's comfortable and welcoming and familiar.

For the final walk, we saw a howsome sunset on the top of a hill. In front os us, just nature : trees, lake, hills and the sun that gone away. It was magic !
