Day 11 - Omagh to Connemara

Wild, Wild West - MAYO
... advised us options for restaurants in the area and in the end we made a brilliant decision to try the Market Kitchen. After a beautiful meal of locally sourced meats, including hill lamb for which Mayo is famed, and perfectly prepared root vegetables, starters and desserts, I was not surprised to learn this restaurant was awarded 'Best Restaurant in Mayo' for 2011 (it gets my vote for 2012 as well)! Connemara from a Tour Bus
... bus driver stopped and let us all fed apples to one of the these Ponies. The Connemara Pony is know to be hardy and strong from living in the rugged conditions of Connemara.
Overall, the bus tour was a lot of fun. This was partly due to the beautiful weather and the people I was with. Through the university, we got a deal with a local tour bus company and now we can go on other bus tours for free! This weekend we plan to take the Cliffs of Mohr bus tour.
